Yoga Teacher Training at Sacred Space

Krista has taught yoga in Greeley since 2002 and has been certifying other teachers through her school since 2009. This program focuses on the true nature of yoga, the science of self-realization. In the West, there is a tendency to focus only on the physical aspect of yoga which is just a tiny portion of what yoga is. There are eight limbs of yoga and asana/posture is only the third limb. Meditation existed thousands of years before asanas were introduced. That said, students will be fully trained to teach an asana-based class by the end of training. Students finish certification by teaching classes at the studio. However, this program focuses greatly on meditation, pranayama, and consciousness. Students are expected to do as much work internally as externally. This is truly a life-changing experience! Other topics include anatomy, energy anatomy, and introduction to Ayurveda. Students have a free membership and access to online training while attending. This course meets the requirements of the 200-hour standard for Level #1 Yoga with Yoga Alliance.

With a free membership to the studio offered during training, students are expected to attend at least eight classes per month.
Group yoga teacher training is usually offered every spring and fall each year. Group training meets 9 to 5 every Sunday and many students form life long friendships here.
Private/ individualized yoga teacher training is also offered and can be a really good fit for people wanting a more intimate training or need a longer timeline to train or simply cannot meet on Sundays.
NEW - Online yoga teacher training is now available for those unable to make into the studio. This is a big discount and may be the right fit for you! Many people have found they prefer learning from the comfort of home. This training includes access to workshops and classes online.
